There are 8 -10 x conventional 500 watt Par 64's on the grid, also 8 x Par 16 birdies that we mount on round base straight mic stands as mids/shins, and 6 x 500 watt Par 36's on round bases on the floor. This is all conventional tungsten lighting. Everything is on dimmers, there are 10 dimmer channels on our cool little old English manufactured Evergreen lighting console. Nothing fancy but lots of fire power to light up this small room.
We have an extensive library of colour gels on hand and enough gel frames to cover the National Arts Center.
The shape of our grid makes it easy to hit figures in the room without moving them, and we prefer not to move lights on the grid for one day or shorter engagements, we don't mind re-focusing to suit the set-up any time though, that is easy, the grid sits at only 9'8" above the floor, accessible with a step ladder.
